Starting

Hi anyone else find the bonnie cools very quickly & you need to use the choke at the first setting, all the time to start?

 

Not me....mine doesn't need any choke at all, even when its clap cold. That may change as the colder weather comes, but over the few months i've owned it, i can honestly say i haven't needed it.
All i do is open the throttle very slightly, hit the button, and away she goes, ticks over perfect as well.

 

Mine has different fins than yours could be that?

 

You're not alone. My 2011 Bonnie needs choke every time.

 

Have now spoken to Triumph, you are supposed too!

I think it depends on the year!

 

I have a 4 week old 2014 mag wheel Bonnie, and it needs choke every time I start her.

 

I have a 2011 SE and it gets colder than a witches tit within minutes of switching off the ignition - I always use full choke from cold and half choke when it's been run for a while.
