got home from work
Cat usually jumps off window sill to greet me at the door
Not today .......stayed there and not even looking at the car like she usually does
Cat transfixed staring at the road
Turns out she’s watching a young hedgehog
Bloody thing looks drunk to me wobbling about and going round in circles
Thought I better move it before wor lass turns up and runs it over
Put a little cat food out in a safe place and picked it up to take it to the food
As it curled into a ball I can see that it’s covered in ticks
Have been press ganged into taking it to a rescue centre after tea
FFS it’s only a bloody hedgehog

It was down Durham way beside the Arniston centre
It was somebody’s house full of cages with poorly critters I just googled hedgehog rescue and they were the closest

 

I think you’ll find his name was Herbert! What was his chances then Dilli, did they tell you?

 

They said he was dehydrated and would be ok after a few days treatment
I can ring them for an update if I want and can pick him up to release him if I want (I don’t)
So I left a donation and said that they can release him when he’s sorted

 

He's being " detained " for longer than the average custodial sentence dished out by our injustice system.
And all because he was trying to complete his stoptober!

Just wondering if you've kidnapped a father or maybe a mother of six who was only having some out and about time for herself (ask your lass about that) when they was whisked off and detained for up to 6 months then dumped off roughly 15 mile away from home, don't feel bad though i'm sure you done the best thing for you and the bung you gave them should ease it.
