Hi folks Im going to splash some cash on some parts for my Thruxton. Its mostly silver and black I like the look of some of the Motone brass parts but Im unsure if the colour combo will work with a mainly silver paint work. I know it works superbly with black, but silver ?? Does anyone have any images of something similar, brass trick parts on a silver bike? Thank you C
The Motone brass bling on your bike looks very shiny. Motone brass tends to tarnish if left unloved. Have you lacquered yours or are you a demon with the Solvol?
Yeah I'm not a fan of the tarnished look so once I'd got all the bits i was after I polished them all up and lacquered them...
I agree, if you're going to fit brass bits they really need to look shiny (and brassy), otherwise why bother?
