I've been looking back at how to remedy tank scratches (DD/Tigcraft etc Apr '17). Mine (black) has been scuffed by my jacket & wearing a backpack back-to-front, so is more dull than scratched. Just using black Turtlewax brings it back but soon fades, but shows it's not got to the re-painting stage. So does the "G3" thar's recommended still apply to this damage, or too abrasive?
My leather jacket would leave dye on the tank that could only be got off with t-cut so I bought the tank protection kit from worldofTriumph when they were in the sale well worth it, you hardly notice the film. Expensive at the full price though!
Sorry mate I don't know how to do it, & anyway I scribbled those details down last year when I first thought about doing it.
It was just referred to as G3, then Meguiars was mentioned - & finished off with Diamondbrite. Thanks for info anyway mate.
G3 is very abrasive and is great for deep scratches, personally I would use megs scratch x or autoglm super resin polish followed by a wax for protection
