Am looking today at reading the current ecu map to see if it's the right one for the current setup so I have a look between the engine and frame (S3 '03) to see if it still has the SAI connected and I find this in the picture below. I thought if it was removed you needed to have plates to cover these openings? I've also had a look inside this opening and there doesn't appear to be a hole which I thought there would be, something to feed the SAI, yes? Anyone who can explain what setup I appear to have? Hi Shamus, I'm not familiar with the layout of the S3 as most of my Triumph mechanicking has been done on other models, so please take what I'm about to say with a pinch of salt,OK? As you said re the SAI if it had been removed, then you would expect blanking plates to be in place. However if there are no holes where that rectangular recess is, then that can't be for the SAI. Thanks for that Biglad, have downloaded it. Had a look at the parts fiche and it shows the secondary emissions on the Daytona 955i but only shows them on the S3 for California and Germany which seems strange. I'm not going to worry too much over it as it's obviously been re-mapped at some point because it has the map for the S3 with a TORS can and no SAI so I didn't have to play with that. I'm guessing the cam covers are generic as it's the same part number across the Daytona, S3, RS & ST and probably just drilled for the models and areas where they run with an SAI system. Thanks
