    RIP Peter.

A truly talented racer and engineer.

Enjoyed watching him race in the 1960’s/70’s.

Unfortunately his a near fatal accident at Oulton Park in 1974 ended his career.

Peter on the start line in 1967 with the Tom Arter G50 number 10.

A sad day indeed. Williams was more than just a great rider - he was an engineer and was, in no small part, responsible for much of the huge succes of the John Player Norton (JPN) team in the early seventies. He was primary designer and developer of the revolutionary monocoque chassis racer that was so successful in the early seventies despite using a then well outclassed Commando based engine.

Sad day and a sad loss.
