Guess I'm not the only one to complain about scooters, but not just kids. Deliveroo type riders deliberately cutting me up to prove some kind of point. They'll weave along your inside and cut across you, a real fxcking menace. I could quite happily push one of the fxckers over with a swift right foot, but try to remain a dignified 62 year old and stifle the desire to KILL....
Manbitescat. Most bikers were there some years ago. They get excited and want to race everyone. Yes you are right there's no need for unsafe manoeuvring. But generally they learn the error of their ways soon enough. Ride Safe Joe.
Ron. Its never the nutter that gets hurt its the innocent biker and probably also get sued. Ride Free Joe
Ron I know you wouldn't do this to me. You know I love Mules with a bit of Crumpet on them. Ride Free Joe.
Nice one Ron, I’ve no doubt drugs and/or alcohol mixed with stupidity and ineptitude was involved in most of those. If I didn’t like your “rescued from under a tree” thread so much I’d have to send you a dry cleaning bill cos I spat my breakfast out whilst watching that. Funny as hell.
Please do stifle the urge to do something that might land you in jail for an extended visit. We all get these urges to retaliate when someone violates our space, but count to 10, or do anything that helps you relax and chill! Remember you're 62 and they are a lot younger and not as smart.
I'm pretty sure I was a bit (quite a bit if I'm honest) of an eedjit when I was a teenager on my BSA C15 and later, Ariel Leader. Probably lucky to survive unscathed. Fifty years on and still riding, I feel I have to cut them a bit of slack when I see stupid, selfish behaviour on a scoot/moped and hope they mature and calm down.
I think there may be a few of us who took our brains out when riding especially in the mid to late sixties when you could ride as a sixteen year old on L plates bikes up to 250cc and are lucky to be here. Bikes such as a Suzuki T20 (super six) with a top speed approx 95mph or a Ducati Mach1 with a genuine top speed of over 100mph in road trim were available to sixteen year olds on L plates. On your push bike one day and on a quick bike the next and no helmet required
I have a tolerance...but my gripe is We have a ''no helmet ''law or lack there of of a helmet law...which means if ya wanna take a spin around the block or to the park or somewhere short, ya just went.....(personally I like it, but I don the helmet when I leave and use a serious motorway.) My gripe is they always have a damn helmet on and are shitty drivers ........so the lawmakers will end up thinking if they have a lid , so must everyone !!
Yep used to be the same in the UK, now if you want to ride you need to wear a helmet. When I was a youngster I rode many miles without a helmet, but now years later I think it makes sense as you only have one head/life. Wessa
