Hi everybody , just acquired a 900 Trident 1994 which has been standing outside for the past 10 years , restoration starts here, hopefully through the forum I'll be able to pick brains so to speak and share what I'm doing

Welcome in Chris. Good luck with the Trident project, great bikes and worth the effort, I had 95 Sprint for a few years. Just beware of a weak battery when you try to start the bike, the sprag clutch (starter) can fail with a bad battery and it can be a major job to replace. Have you got the rectangular flat removable cover on top of left crank case below the carbs , if so you can access from there if and when needed, otherwise a full strip down.

Not had a British machine since like 1968 ish, Norton 650 SS, What I'm starting to like about my Trident is the bolts etc are a decent size, I suffer from big fingers syndrome, started my resto by removing a part, clean it and put it back, I like to thoroughly clean the whole machine, today I've poured penetrant down the plugs in the hope it will free up the engine

I'm not sure if I've got the right place. My Trident was siezed, what I did was put oil and penetrant down the plugs, left it for a day, thinking borescope should be here shortly , yesterday put some more down, this morning took the case off and armed with 24mm socket quietly tried to turn it, it did, so pleased you've no idea, so gently I will leave it a while,
