Wow! I think the angle bend may need to be greater but impressed. The width of the brackets is 2 cm but I don’t think that would matter.

 

First side shot looks about 120 degrees to me @Ron Ashurst

 

Hey Juliet - welcome to a great forum. Your sons are very lucky boys indeed - do they enjoy their rides?

 

I mean by the angle that the bottom half of the bracket needs to angle inwards maybe 30 degrees.

 

Absolutely love it! Nearly 17 yo is looking around for something small himself now - in a similar style. Then he’ll wait it out until he can use mine!

 

Well that looks about right! I’m guessing it’s the angle of the photo that makes the upper part look short as it looked right in the photo with the ruler.

I've joined the forum on the recommendation of a pal (Tiger owner). My Triumph is a 2006 Scrambler; I bought it new when I lived in Maryland and shipped it back at the end of my tour. I think this one was my third or fourth Hinkley Triumph.
I also run a CCM 230 green lane bike and a 1976 Suzuki B120 2 stroke.
