Miss the power of the speed triple r, but if I'm honest I couldnt use it to anywhere near its full potential.
Update,, cb650r is going, replacing with a 2019 speed triple s,, missed the torque too much, expensive mistake that won't happen again, :-(

Loving the 400Four, well tidy.

 

Is there that much of a power difference when driving on the road? What is it 140 to 111 and Triple vs Twin?

 

Like the CB styling. Was about to get a new one too but got a good deal on a pre-loved Speedy.

 

TBH, it doesn't feel that much slower, the torque curve is flat and it pulls hard everywhere. V twin is a completely different character from a triple, lumpier low down, but smooths out as it spins up and sounds glorious!

Probably agree with you but that little beauty you wouldn't to ride hard anyway. And it is as i say a real stunner.

It's a Honda and a beauty at that so it'll take a thrashing if you're in the mood. I friend of mine, who passed away a few years ago, had an absolutely perfect CB350F which was the forerunner to the 400 but didn't have the horny headers of it's bigger brother. No idea what happened to it after he passed.

 

That Morini 3 1/2 is just fantastic. A friend used to have one back in the day, although most of his was on his kitchen table most of the time! Saw an original condition/unrestored one "in the flesh" a week or so ago - took me right back. Great looking bike.

 

Always my favourite colour for the 400/4. Looks brilliant. I am always amazed these days how small they are - I'm sure they used to be bigger back in the day!!

Wow does that Morini ever remind me of my shop teacher's Ducati from back in the 70's when I was in high school. The Ducati was yellow but had that look to it. Nice bike btw.

 

Not sure comparing it to a sewing machine is a good thing..do you use a sewing machine much? Bits break quite often and they can stab you in the finger if you're not careful. Dangerous things. Be careful on that bike.

I had a 400/4 back in the late 80’s which I loved… did a rear can job on it. Removed the stock baffles and machined up some new ones… God it sounded lovely, great little engine!

 

Cb650r has gone, it lasted all of 3months before getting the heave ho,, boring and characterless.
Replaced it with this
