    Hey folks,

Just a hi to say found the forum and looks great, just what I need as I've just completed my first 500 miles on my new Bobber, this bike enticed me back to biking after a 9 year break and frankly I love it and the Triumph range as a whole. The twin engine is immense and suits my riding style these days.

Looking forward to reading more about all your escapades.

    Cheers

    Mark

P.S. Forgot to say I'm in Scotland so the roads here are great for the bike.

Hi and thanks for the welcomes, and yep Callumity it is Dreich, but I managed to get some miles in this summer, I think this was a Tuesday this year :sun::confused:. She's finally run in according to the dealer, picking her up again tomorrow after the 1st service. Lets see what that engine can really do :p.

Welome Mark. A bunch of us ventured over the border this past weekend. It was proper lashing it down most the time and we were drookit to the man ... but those roads, blimey, still grinning ear to ear.

Thanks Rich, yep you guys are braver than I am, fair-weather only for me now if possible. Did my time years ago, spent 3 years with nothing but a bike as a poor student, at the time it was an MZ ETZ 251 (yes really, and I fell off that in a snow drift) and then the original XJ600 yammy. Oh I remember it well scraping ICE off the saddle to get to college. :cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat::cold_sweat:. Brass monkeys doesn't get close.

Seems like you're all a bit mad, good :p

    Cheers

    Welcome Mark,

I'm new here too. The Bobber is the reason I'm now a Triumph owner.

I saw one for the first time and thought it was an expensive custom special but after speaking to the owner and learninh it was a stock Triumph model I had to take a look.

Took one for a test ride and absolutely loved it. However, with plans to head to Europe with "her-indoors" I needed something with a pillion seat.

The 1200 HT is an absolute peach of an engine, pulls like a train. The Bobber handles way better than it should and it looks the dogs bollocks.

If I could justify a second bike I'd be all over the Bobber.

P.S. I'm coming up North of the border to do the NC500 next month. Praying for good weather.

    Gled..

Your S3 is stunning, congrats. I had a test of a Yammy MT07 before the bobber as I thought, be sensible get a middle weight as you've been away from biking for nearly a decade. I bloody hated it, flighty and too 'dinky', put me off the back to bikes idea. My mate convinced me to actually have a go on the bobber rather than just drool over it and within 200 meters I was sold. Loved it from then on. The engine is amazing and agree about the handling not what I expected.
Good luck with the weather on the NC500, I really should think about doing that. Hmmm wonder if Triumph do a jerry fuel can bracket for the bobber because it bloody needs it.

    Haha,

Yes, it won't have the best fuel tank range but to be fair that's not what it's built for.

What colour did you go for?

    Gled.

    Very Cool,

The best colour in my humble opinion. Good choice.

Now... *dreams* if I can just convince the missus to get one.

    Enjoy Mark.
