Hi from a lovely Northumberland in the Northeast of the England. I am returning to riding after a long break of 15yrs, so taking it very steady and gaining my confidence on two wheels. Returning to riding I looked at several bikes but settled on the Tiger 800 xc, it felt very comfy and not too heavy. I plan on doing a bit of touring so bought panniers to go with her. She will be much loved and look forward to covering some miles.
Thank you, will be taking it easy and may well get a few sessions in with IAM Bike group just for my own safety. But so far am definitely loving being back on the road.
There are some nice quiet roads in that there Northumberland. Use that to your advantage to gain confidence. No rushing about and no pressure. Perfect.

Welcome Spug. Check out the GMU thread in the Lounge section. 21-24 July, 30-odd of us meeting up not far from you in Bellingham, Kielder. If you can't make the weekend or an overnight at least try to get over for a ride out (two groups 1) slow and 2) slower), or an evening cuppa and meet some of your fellow inmates.
