no, im hoping this week, its been quite a lengthy journey, but hopefully one that will end very soon, i dont blame the sanctuary place for being cautious, and i didnt need vet bills immediately after getting him, so all is good in the world, i will be calling them tomorrow to get more info
well here he is, had him 6 days now, and hes ace, what a completely fun dog, hes really good, and found out hes only around 6 months old not 1 year, he loves everyone, and every dog so far. hes loving his new home im sure,
Brilliant news Elevensies, he looks gorgeous !!!!! And big/powerful. Have a great life together, Dave
thanks guys, yes hes not so big at the moment, i dont think he will get taller, hes still a bit skin and bone, but ohhh boy is he a puller, iv got him a no pull harness today, as the one i first got him pulling was his game and hes very strong, so this new one it trips him up when he pulls so hopefully it will stop the urge, only had him out once today and hes getting the message hahah
Great news Elevensies, You can see the difference in him, now you've got him, He looks more relaxed than the 1st pictures, you can see it in his face, he's comfortable with you. I've got a Pressa Canaria that was rescued after being used as a "look how hard I'am dog" to try and frighten people. When we got her she was a bit vicious, biting me on the 1st night, but once she realised she was being loved instead of being hit, left in a small yard in the day, and a cage in the house at night, she soon calmed down, and is the most loving dog you could want. She has the run of the house and is brilliant as security as she looks the part. even though she would lick you to death. I'm sure you will have a loving dog in Red, he's gorgeous. They do realise that they have finally landed in a bed of roses, and will give love to match. Good luck to you and Red.
yeah had that already, especially with other dog walkers, as Red is pulling like crazy towards them, but his tail is going 10 to the dozen, he just wants to play and say hello, but thats life i guess

cheers pal, wow those doge are pretty gnarly looking, no wonder people take a second look, but like you say, mostly owned by good owners who just want a good mate to enjoy life with....its the crazy people with the need to impress i hate. this is my idiot tonight watching people going by
yeah after my last 2 dogs, who to be honest were mental anyway, but the ex has the pleasure of those (do miss them though) Red is good at standing strong, even though hes a complete muppet, sometimes bike owners like us, dont mind that bit of extra security, if people local know theres a bad ass kicking about.
Cheers D.D It was my partner who rescued her. When she went to pick her up from the scallies house, she was given an old bit of washing line as a lead, that an earwig could have snapped. and a choke chain. She now has a no pull harness that gives you total control, because like Red they are strong dogs, and will pull you on your arse if you're not paying attention. The gobshites that are cruel to dogs should be chained up, locked in a yard with no food, no water, and have to sit in their own shit for weeks on end, and we'll see how they like it.
So what happened to the cheeky c.. that said you couldn’t have him? Hope she got a good kick up the .....
