Morning All, thought I'd drop a line to say hello as I've just signed up. I'm based down south, got a '92 Trophy 900 project on the go, I picked it up really cheap as a neglected and forgotten basket case in the back of a workshop, She's had a chequered past by the looks of things, all the body work missing, but I've got the seat! All the frame and engine numbers match and there's no insurance history so I thought she deserved better than breaking for fleabay. Always wanted a Mk1 Speed Triple back in the day, even though I was riding Jap sports bikes then, so I'd like to put her on the road as a naked bike. Thought about going down the CRK route but I don't really have the budget for that, maybe in the future. I've done a few jobs, got more than a few to do, and some parts to source. Maybe this summer......

    Thanks for the welcomes boys.

I think you're right DD, it's a shame to see really good examples of the T3s being chopped up for projects, good for those out there that have kept them pretty much standard, they'll be hard to find in the future. It's the cutting the frame thing that I'm not sure about, it's hard to go back from there.

I don't feel guilty about my old girl though, it would have been a lot less effort to break it for spares but Trumpets with carbs should be out there making a noise if possible!

    Welcome from another carby.
They are great bikes, well worth saving.
Right now Tridents, Trophies and Sprints like mine don't fetch a lot, it is all about Speedies and Thunderbirds which just keep going up in price but i am sure one day they will command a decent price, fingers crossed.
    Good luck with your project.

Thanks for all the welcomes boys, I'm starting to feel right at home! Here are a couple of photos to keep you amused, these are the last ones I took but it was a while ago, believe it or not things have moved on a little. She now has a nice matching pair of 3 spoke wheels, 4 pot front calipers and floating discs thanks to a later Daytona someone was breaking. Carbs have been cleaned and rejetted to match the 3:1 exhaust, I fabricated it from my headers and a T5 3:1 system. Forks have been stripped and rebuilt with new seals, swingarm has been dropped and all the linkages, bearings and rear shock cleaned, replaced where needed and greased up.
