    Hello,

I'm a 71 biker, leaving in Roma, Italy.

I've been riding motorcycles since I was 10 years old. Love bikes more than cars. Use my bike on a daily basis, like most peoples do with their car. Actually my car (a beautiful Volvo C70 coupe/cabrio) seats in the garage for months.

Lately I had 3 BMW, and actually I own an R1200R, full optional, with side bags. An excellent motorcycle.

But I changed my daily life, and ride mostly in town. Therefore I don't need anymore an heavy and powerful bike as the R1200R is, looking for a more agile and fluid/handy bike.
Among various options of this kind, I'm quite oriented to get a Triumph Street Twin 2019 for its classic style, weight, power, finish, price, rather than the Bonneville that has less power and more weight (and higher price to).

Since the side bags (able to host a modular helmet) are vital in my daily use (replacing the car), I checked on Hepco Becker that the Street Twin is also compatible with their Junior 40 liters hard bags. And that is a good new for my choice.

I joined the Forum to explore trough your posts if the Street Twin fits my expectations, as I hope.

Thank you for your kind attention,

    Angelo

Hi Angelo, a Street Twin would be a very good choice for town work, but other trips as well, junk the original Pirelli tyres and you are good to go.

    Hi Angelo, welcome.
I have had 2 r1200r BMW's. I now have a 2015 Bonneville T100. As someone said consider this model. I think the weight is just right for around town and its easy to ride.
Just like the air-cooled r1200r models they are easy to maintain. Good luck in your choice.
