    By the way the 'gorilla clutch pull' might be a feature of the model...later ones have a longer arm at the lower end giving greater leverage .yours is an early model.

    On a long ride it sometimes gets to the point where I am lugging because I'm avoiding using the clutch. I'll look into replacing the clutch lever. Thanks for the suggestions.

    I am running a 2018 Tiger 800 XRX and can say it's the best bike I have or will ever own. They have really ironed out the issues you refer to and I love it.

    I will eventually upgrade, but I just don't like the beak that they design into adventure bikes.

    I will eventually upgrade, but I'm waiting for a design that I like. The beak that they put on adventure bikes does not appeal to me.

    It's worth checking the cable pulls freely and returns promptly when you let the lever go.
    If that ok then it's just the early model gorilla clutch.
