Has anyone gone over to the Isle of Wight on their bike? If so, do they tie it down or did you just put it on the side stand in first gear, while on the ferry?

I've been on the IoW ferry many times........... mostly on my Lambretta or Vespa scooters, but twice on bikes too. The most recent was on my Triumph Speedmaster, all times I was never given any tie downs.... just put in gear and on sidestand

Su in me do the monkey bike runs they have over there in the summer and we just leave them in gear on the side stand as well.
