Hey guys. I got off my bike today and kicked my indicator which has snapped clean off! It has split at the plastic so cannot be reattached. I didn't kick it that hard but the plastic was already split.

Is there a way to fix this without replacing the whole plastic bit that all the lights are attached to? Could I glue it with gator glue?

If it's not possible to fix does anyone know what the plastic part is called so I can try and source one?

    Cheers.

Can we presume you have a speed triple? Possibly with a tail tidy?
    I too have done this...twice.
    £60 later .
wont do it again, looks like im climbing over a farm gate getting on it now.
Glued one of them, but you know its damaged and always notice it.

Tail tidy! Knew I had it in my head somewhere! Yes it's a street triple.

Any recommendations for a new one? Are the R&G ones any good?

Ok, having done some research I don't think I tail tidy is what I need. Having checked my bike it appears the previous owner already installed an R&G tail tidy and left the OEM indicators where they were - attached to the plastic directly under the pillion seat.

I am only guessing from pictures the tail tidy will not work as it doesn't seem to cover this area. If I'm incorrect please let me know. Here is the product I've ordered.

I can try and get some pictures up of my bike and where the damage is if you all still don't understand me.

    Cheers

Ah, just reread your post. I understand what you said now. So I guess I don't need a tail tidy?

Thanks Flay. Did it today. Fortunately it had snapped under where the indicator is bolted on so you can't even see where I've melted the plastic. Looks as good as new. Cheers dude!

Triumph did a recall on these a while back because they kept breaking.
    You could try?

Yer I saw that. I'm getting a new exhaust put on next month so will speak to them then.

I had exactly this on my Speed Triple in the first week I got it.
R&G tail tidy and LED mini indicators just under the seat attached to the plastic under pan.
I managed to sort it with super glue, but the above video on plastic welding is very useful.

FYI Super glue is good but not waterproof so it will let go sooner or later

check with VOSA to see if your VIN # on the recall list, had both my speedies rear indicator mounts replaced as they fell off by themselves. Got a part number at home so will post that later, seem to recall the mounts are about £2.50 each

It's not the mounts that have snapped though. It's the plastic moulding that holds all the lights which has completely cracked
