i skiped this part and jumped straight in but I should introduce myself! I'm Sam soon to be a street twin owner, also have a 06 fireblade in the garage, I'm from there Hereford area and I'm looking forward to using this forum over the following months and years

Hello and welcome! How long 'til the bike arrives?

 

Thanks for all the welcomes! The street twin seems to be a topic of interest on here!! Well I spoke to the dealer yesturday and they have a few in stock and the colour I want too but I'm going to order it on Saturday and hold out for a 16 plate so hopefully April!

 

Hi Sam! Very jealous of the street twin. Welcome! I'm a newbie as well, got a CBR 600f in the garage and just bought a 2012 Bonnie at the age of 30.

Out of interest, why have you gone for the street twin with the blade in the garage? My cbr forum think I'm crazy going from a CBR to a bonnie at my age - but I wanted something Mrs Yaya would feel comfortable on the back, plus it oozy retro cool without the retro headaches!

Well Yada, when I was young I always wanted a sports bike, which I have now got and enjoy but I've also had a fancy for something more classic, and after toying with the idea of getting a old barn find and doing it up I settled for a modern classic style in the street twin with the plan of refurbing the cbr1000rr back to showroom condition. Plus during the winter months the blade is abit fruity on the wintery roads so the street twin can also become a year round ride

Thank you very much, yes I have had the pleasure to have road tested one, I'm taking one out again on sat morning just to make sure..... Not that my mind needs making up

Thank you, I've gone for the cranberry red the Matt black was nice but the red stood out to me
