Supposed to pick up my daytona on Wednesday, got a phone call saying the coil pack is knackered and it's gonna take 10-14 days to get it fixed.

Gutted just ain't the word right now :frown:

Yeah that is a fair point mate, I'd rather have it working perfectly than get it now and have it break down on me.
I've been reading that quite a few 600/650 daytonas have had charging problems, it's just a bit disappointing having a licence but don't have my bike to go out on yet lol

That's a bit of a bummer mate, but, like has been said already, its better that its right when you pick it up !

I think youre lucky to have had it happen now instead of after you got it and had to pay yourself. Hope thats a good sign, not a bad one. Dont worry it will be worth the wait.

when I started biking I know I was just as impatient as you are, maybe if I had slowed down a little I wouldnt have bought my BSA Starfire, lol. Bloody thing was forever breaking down, learnt me a bit about mechanics though.

Your going to be even more gutted if we get a heatwave for the next two weeks and then the monsoon sets in! SORRY
Better to get it sorted now.

Hopefully have the bike soon as I popped in yesterday and all the parts had arrived so I'm hoping the mechanic works his arse off tomorrow and I get the bike ASAP lol
