New to the forum..just looking for some help.
Owner of 2005 Sprint ST which up till recently was perfect.
Still runs perfectly..once it starts..which is proving to be difficult at the mo.
Sprag clutch is giving notice but still cranks it over no problem...takes 5-6 secs of cranking on occasion to fire up..
Checked the battery/charging etc..all seem OK..changed plugs/air filter. Done the 12 minute reset a few times but still remains a bugga to start.
Figured I'd sort the sprag clutch out first and then look at the lectrics/EMC etc.. but finding a sprag clutch bearing for a 2005 is proving a challenge. Lots of later ones available but they are about 10mm larger radius than the one on mine.

I've asked the Q in the Technical bit so fingers crossed.

    Cheers

    Phil

Hi and welcome…. You could check the switches at the clutch and side stand before opening up the clutch. If one or both of them are dodgy it could impact stating the bike. Just a thought.

Welcome to the family. great picture. Yes check the switches also wiring around the headstock and ignition switch. The other thing to check is the fuel if it has been in there for a while it goes of and watery. And won't go wrong if you pull the plugs out and clean or replace them
