Made the most of the weather today with a 3 hour ride around north Essex, plenty of bikes about and a great opportunity to try out the new end cans, plenty of grunt and popping on deceleration, good thing is that car drivers appeared to notice I was there. Hopefully it stays dry for Sunday/ Monday but not holding my breath. Safe riding all.
Hi Biscuit, Thought I'd ask when fitting your new pipes did you have any issues regards fitting the brackets at all, and where do they actually fit too ?
To be honest, seeing that the new pipes are so light and short, I've decided to see how they go just clamped as the brackets supplied don't marry up to anything. There doesn't seem to be any movement so far, but I will monitor it and if necessary get some brackets fabricated.
Yep thats what I thought you had done as couldnt see any brackets on pics, may actually be the best option cos as you say there so light and short. Ive also read some aftermarket exhausts utilise the centre stand fixing points, thanks Biscuit.
Out in Suffolk yesterday, even got wife on the back, rode out to Snape Malting's. You are right plenty of bikes out and about, I think we all had the same idea, it may be the only good day this holiday Even so we had a good time, if you ride north Essex some where like Snape would be more than doeable for you, a good locale to ride and visit.
Hadn't heard of Snape maltings before, will have to drop by now the in laws have just moved up to Belton
Missed the good weather yesterday,so jealous of you guy's that managed to get out, bloody working for a living Was hoping to get out Sunday but I think that's going to be a non starter
The supplied brackets come with one pre drilled hole to attach to the can,it doesn't line up to any fixing point on the America.
Managed a couple of hours out too yesterday . Did a 30 mile mountain bike ride in the morning first, then decided it was so nice the speedmaster should take me for an ice cream. Glad I did as its shite here today and for the rest of the weekend !
