Have a 06 speed triple and my fuel light does not work. And today was the second time I ran out of fuel. Thought I have the trip meter set and figured with a 45 mpg average I was good for another 50 miles.
Will fix the tank/fuel light this winter.

How many miles or kilometers are you all getting on a tank before your fuel light cuts on?

I've got a 2005 Speed triple, and get anywhere from 180 to 210 kilometres before the light comes on. It very much depends on my mood. 1 litre in 13 kilometres when spirited, 1 in 16 when docile. The light comes on after 13 litres have disappeared.

I have found that the average fuel consumption indicator is extremely optimistic. I just checked, and it says it did 1 in 16,3 on average. While I know for a fact the average is 1 in 14,6.

Around140 ish miles till light comes on my 2011 reads a tad low on gauge,if I run another 20/30 miles after light comes on can get about £16/£18 in fuel in till it’s full tank, have seen about 180 miles on full tank several times.

My 2011 also goes 14- to 145 miles before the fuel light comes on. The most I ever got out of a tank is a spincer twitching 173 miles...I re-filled with 16.5 litres
Despite the new Speed RS being about 2 l smaller, the fuel light comes on about about 140 miles too.....
My wife is now riding the 2011 model and we're off to France in a couple of weeks, so will be able to compare them directly.....

When I did my commute into London each day on my 2010 Speed Triple on motorway and A roads I would get 120/130 miles before the fuel light comes on.
This is with fairly spirited riding and lower geared sprockets

Christ, must be doing something wrong, first fill up got 96 miles to light! Perhaps those blue flashy lights on the dash shouldn't be lighting up all the time!o_O

Aha but you can have the blue dash lights on at different rpm,as long as it’s not blue lights chasing you l.o.l.

later models get better mileage than the 2006, (my 2010 gets around 230-250km before the light comes on) but the 2005 and 2006 models I owned got 185-200km and the light came on after using 13 litres. I do know some owners who got less and others who got more but 185-200 seems about average for those models.

    I’ve got a 16 plate R, and I’m getting about 170 miles to a tank.

Can't get anywhere near 170 to a tank! Perhaps it's living in the upper rev ranges too much!! Lol

Tbh that mileage is mainly commuting along dual carriageway, and not “blue lighting “ it too much. I’m sure I could get it down on a track day!!

Filled up last night, this was the mileage, and still had 11 miles left according to the dash.

Got back from a trip to France last Sunday. Completed 1407 miles over 2 weeks. According to the fuel gauge, was getting an average 58 mpg and 175 miles to empty
    Not bad, me thinks.....

My last ride, which wasn’t too aggressive, the light came on at 205 km’s and said 70ish remaining. There’s no way I would get 70 more kilometres though. I’m finding the Speed RS is burning only slightly more fuel than my street triple 675 did. That’s impressive.

I’m getting about 160 miles before the light. On a run up to Mallory Park last week the dash was saying I was getting 71mpg, that was sticking at an indicated 80ish. The actual economy is about 10mpg less than that though, does anyone else have that? Actual being about 10mpg lower than indicated. Mines a 2008 BTW.
