Hi Dilli, I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier but I only just seen this thread and gone through it. I am VERY sorry to hear of your health troubles and being pissed about by a health service that ceased to be people-focussed a very long time ago. The medical journals are full 'miracle cures' for this that and the other. Marvelous in theory but if you can't get reliable appts with consultants you remain f*cked! I'll remember you in my prayers tonight and you will get fixed up; hoping to see you later this year, unless ........ The very best of luck to you mate, Dave
I know that I and others have said it before, dilli, and that this may be sounding trite but it still holds true. Hang in there! We're all thinking of you and pulling for you. I can't imagine the pain and frustration you're feeling and will keep on praying for you, my friend.
Just received an app to see another consultant on the 16th February about my shoulders Dunno if this means that the orthopaedic department is up and running fully again but it’s a good sign hopefully I’ll ask some questions when I attend
Aye marra great news indeed, you know how much I love you but gotta say, this thread is getting longer than any of your project builds.
Can't wait for the convalescence thread part one God bless @Sandi T. She's been smashed up, mended and bought another bike in less time, But do love him really, even more so in lockdown
@dilligaf Aw, Dilli, I love ya, too. Don't pay @TEZ 217 no never mind. He does have a point, though! No, seriously, my injurious were acute fractures and in a sense different that way. Your physical health problems seem more structurally based and long(er) term. Plus I had the advantage of having known my surgeon before my smash up and I realize full well that I'm lucky and blessed that was the case. I wish you all the best for your Feb. 16th appointment and will pray that it goes smoothly. Heck, that it goes on at all and isn't cancelled again. And also that this consultation gets you on a good healing path.
hope they fix it not much different here I have a plate in my leg from a bike accident now I am older its giving me trouble , have to wate a year and a half for a specialist app
A year and a half for an appointment?! Is that typical or does it have something to do with COVID, Jadorff? Yikes....that's a l-o-n-g wait.
Did you see that have recently done a double arm and shoulder transplant? If they can do that, there must be hope. I wonder what will be the first thing the patient does when the Doctors’ backs are turned? Put it this way, he won’t need to ask the nurses to wash his ‘special bits’ a little faster...
