Exhaust Remaps

I’m looking at the Tec Sprint 2-2 Short exhaust for my 2013 SE.
The product info suggests remapping would be preferable if you run them without the baffles in. If an appropriate remap was done, what would be the effect of subsequently running it with the baffles back in occasionally (ie at MOT time) ?

I tried remapping, but it always seemed to run worse than with the standard map. Even without the baffles.
