Hi, new to the site and would like to tap the knowledge of members. I live in Northern Ireland and just got a Triumph Trophy 900cc. I new it was a none runner and need an engine. I have been offered an engi e from a tiger 900cc. My question is will it fit and would any other ones fit. It a 1999 trophy and apart from the engine it's in great condition. Any help most welcome. Cheers

    Hi Handyman and welcome.:)

As far as I am aware the Tiger 900 engine is physically the same as the 900 Trophy/Trident/Daytona engine. It should go straight in. Better still if you can get the carbs and ecu to go with it as the state of tune may be slightly different to the others, though possibly not - just a bit of doubt in the back of my mind, that's all (and I do mean 'all', cos' there's nowt else there!!:p).

On a less helpful note, I used to deliver float glass to Vista Therm on the Silverwood Ind. Est. near to where you appear to live:eek:. Just saying!

btw the engine will go in but the gear pattern will be reversed and may be worth swapping the cams into the new motor
