Not sure Angela will dig in, My unfounded opinion is all that may be related to the fishing area discussions.

If it was an easy ride some other member countries may be considering the leave option. I think your original post/ theory is spot on. As an aside, car dealers have put their prices up on the assumption that tariffs are incoming. Bike dealers will no doubt follow suit. Good job we ride “ British” bikes ......:joy:

I don't have opinion on Brexit at all, all I can say, is there will be no winner in there. Despite the pound currently holding well, that will not last. Life is already quite expensive in UK, it's gonna be worst. And not sure it will help UK world trading. Financial place like the City starts to migrate to Luxembourg, Zurich, etc.

Our Doris and Van de Leyen having secret talks on Fish

Could this possibly be the home straight?, could the light at the end of the tunnel actually be Brexit rather than an oncoming Train?

Ha ha ha, that reminds me of my first mother-in-law(clothed fortunately and sadly deceased) Sat heavily on our settee and actually broke the frame, we all heard it crack under her weight.

The French have now been told to stop their nonsense,as I said before France is the elephant in the European room, both politically and economically,a disaster waiting to happen.

With Angela Merkal retiring from German politics next year little Macron is trying to flex his muscles in an attempt to become the top dog in Europe

If I had a business that’d been badly affected by the French blockade,I’d seriously consider suing the French government.
I also believe that Halfcock’s hysterical outburst regarding Covid didn’t help and he should be sacked.
All these actions show why we are right to leave, even the Eu vaccination role out is in disarray and we were “told” that we were stupid to opt out of it.

I cant think there are any truly independent nations, each and everyone is tied to many treaties and trade agreements with, probably the majority of other countries, either through block agreements, or individual contracts, between importing and exporting nations.

Deals looking likely with possible announcement tonight or tomorrow
Although no idea of terms of the deal but I’m expecting a halfway house of neither one thing or the other but we should have sovereignty of the important things
    (Taxation/interest rates/ budget deficit)
