I bought my 2001 Daytona after recovering from a bad accident in 2015 which saw my 2 week old 1299 Panigale destroyed. I was looking for a cheap bike to see whether I would be able to ride again after months of rehabilitation, and liked the look of the Triumph, being a bit bigger and less radical than more modern bikes. It turned out to be cheap for a reason and so began an extensive programme of repair and refurbishment. She’s a keeper now after all the work, plus I’d never get back what I’ve put into her
2007 Speedmaster, return to Triumph after many years on various bikes and my first Hinkley type I chose the speedmaster for its low seat height and I loved the colour
My '97 Thunderbird 900 was put together in Britain by people who took pride in their work. The build quality is superb, the looks are great and I love to ride it.
A 1999 Sprint ST, because it needed rescuing from 12 years in storage & I didn't have much money to spend! Although I have had other bikes at the same time as well as in between, this is my 8th Triumph; 1996 Trident Sprint 900 1998 Sprint ST 1999 Sprint RS 2000 Daytona 955 2000 Speed Triple 955 2012 Street Triple 675R 2017 Street Triple 765RS 1999 Sprint RS My favorite .... probably the Street 675R, although the 765RS was a better bike, I just loved that 675
Forgot to mention I also have a 93 Trophy 1200 which has sat neglected at the back of the garage for years. The plan is, when I get my workshop/garage extended, to convert it into something like this

I got the Bonnie because I wanted something for short trips and zipping around town so I didn't have to use the Goldwing for that (OK, the Goldwing is fun no matter what. That's just an excuse.) I also wanted something with a history, classic looks and mechanics, and fun to ride. I knew I was going to get either an RE, Guzzi, Duc, or Triumph but wasn't sure which. After studying up I learned the Triumphs are the most reliable of the lot (the Duc is too high maintenance). I am happy the bike is carbureted and choked because it takes me back to the days when I first started riding.
I know what you mean Sandi T. Always loved the brutale 800. Work of art. Was always my dream bike...and then I sat on one. Most uncomfortable projection near the tank that jabbed in the knee. Really put me off ever riding one. (Although I would still have one as an ornament if I could)
Like you @Wire-Wheels I have the outer two currently in my shed , I would have bought the T bird in the middle when they came out new ! But the Wife (SWMBO) chose the Trident ! British Racing Green with pearl inlay on the tank !! I've owned five or is it six Triumphs.
Same as Tigcraft. I missed having summit simple (GSX1400 for many years) but this thing is half the size but still got a good bit of dig. Reminds me of my BROS650mk2. But with double the punch. A wee sleeper. Always liked the look of the Bonnies too, which helps getting the sheckles out the pocket.
I've had 3 Trumpets: Tiger 800 XRX Thruxton R Speed Twin Loved the Thruxton R, but it just wasn't comfortable enough for me, hence the transition to a Speed Twin, which is very similar, but just more comfortable. Also got a Ducati Multistrada 950s which is an awesome bike and great for touring.
This was/is my first ever Triumph in around 40 odd years biking, always had Japanese or Italian bikes, ranging from normal naked's to sport's to muscle bikes, I did try and test ride many Triumph's over the years but nothing ever really floated my boat until the Speed Twin came along and I immediately fell in love with it's old school looks combined with it's modern day performance! hopefully might have a few more Triumph's over my remaining years
The T-Bird is.actually a 2000 Legend Deluxe. They only made the Legend a few years. It came from the factory with the blacked out engine, 17" wheels, and a lower seat. Mine has the king & queen seat option. This one is a "Deluxe" instead of the "TT" model. The Deluxe came with the tank graphics, and a center stand included [optional on the TT]. Don't know how many.of these they made. Only one I have ever seen. The 1/4 fairing is aftermarket. ...J.D.
Had a Speed Twin for two weeks ,previously had three Tiger 800 a Bonneville Black, an air cooled Bonneville, street triple, Speed triple x2, 1200 Trophy the early one, Thunderbird the early Hinckley one not the cruiser. Phew! I loved them all!
