Yep that sounds like a plan. My Dublin to Waterford trip is day 1 of eight that I will be on the island. More than happy to feedback my experience.

When you are doing the Ring Of Kerry i think there is an unwritten rule that you do it clockwise starting at Killarney, thats because buses etc do it counterclockwise so if you do it clockwise you don't get stuck behind them;)

We will doing the ring on the 13th July and yep I understand that going clockwise is the best option, as you say it is to do with the buses travelling the other way.

Not been out on a bike recently so decided to take Tracey to w..w... wer today even though it meant driving through town or round the m25 anyways it peed down with rain and the carpark we park in is just mud and it turned into a quagmire of wet runny mud around 4-6" deep! At the end of the day that was the scariest 100 yards I have ever done on a motorcycle, tiger 800 fully loaded, rear wheel spinning, no chance of using the front brake, needing both feet down and trying to keep the front wheel straight, cars were stuck or sliding all over the place! Squeaky bum time!!

Yesterday first ride out this year, bloody loverly!

Today cometh the second. Heated grips still needed not to freeze to death...

Oh, and I cleaned the bugger as I hardly recognized it after four months in a public car park:eek:

I had one on the Marylebone road, way back when, I was on my xl250 which could get away from the lights at a fair lick! I had done a couple of lights against a Porsche, fairly nonchantly as he was well up for a race, and I wasn't that bothered. Prob as he had his gf beside him and I was solo. Anyway 3rd set of lights, red , next to each other, he knew he had me for speed, I started revving and looking at him , he started getting keen, I dropped the clutch and surged forward and stopped, he powered off as did the cop car behind him, through the red light, which hadn't changed yet, I passed him at 30 mph as he was explaining his actions to the police, aaah that's what that mirrors for:p

My wife also has a quote for twatty drivers who pee her of, wether male or female, she will roll down her window and say " I hope he/she f*%ks better than she/he drives cos if not why the hell are you still together?" Women can get away with it!!

In 2003 I had an Aprilia RST1000, I was living in Chesterfield but lodging/working in Kidderminster building boats for the stinking rich during the week coming home at week-ends, one early Monday morning going back through Birmingham at a cross road nr the cricket ground I stopped at some lights, when up drew a yellow Ferrari wedge shaped thing with Frank Skinner at the wheel.
Well, there was no one else around so why not?
We both nodded to each other, (we knew without saying a word) lights went green and we took off, I was well in front to the next set, which went red, Skinner came up, laughing and thumbs up and turned off left.
It would have been a lot closer if his tyres had not spun I think, but I would have been quicker still it I could have controlled the front end better!
Hay ho, those were the silly days!!

Booked the hotel for MCN Scotland on the 12/3/17 should be a good day out. Ill pop into Knockhill on the way home and visit ERS Racing , might get him to check my suspension set up (havnt decided yet and its not cheap), its improved on what it as anyway , and will ask about bike rental for a track day. Staying here , it is too far to travel with a trailer and it just seems like the easiest option.
    Long as it stays upright.

Much underrated bike, never got the credit it deserved, shame there's less than 50 left registered now.
You can still pick one up for small money on eBay occasionally, one thing I would have liked is it to have been shaft drive.

Today I actually got her out, serviced her ready to ride and rode her for 4 whole miles!
No sticky brakes, everything worked and battery holding nicely!
Cant wait for Wednesday, and planning to get to the Edinburgh bike show 11/12 March, weather permitting.
