Well I picked up a Tiger from the shop yesterday and genuinely had to take the long route home and I love it but bloody hell that screen is a nightmare with wind noise drumming away on my helmet, I've just had a look at the puig tall screen with the deflector on the top so may invest some hard earned on one.Heated grips and cruise control .......spoiled :)

I put an MRA VT screen on my Tiger and it improved noise and buffeting substantially.

How tall are you guys? and what setting do you have the screen on, high or low? I ask cuz I'm a short arse and also picked up my Xrx recently but have only ridden it home from the dealer. I'll probably take it out tomorrow and see how I find it and we can compare notes. One tallish guy I was talking to who has one reckoned the stock screen effectively channeled a huge stream of turbulance right in to his forehead.

Copied this from an earlier post by Rooster, worth a try before spending too much!
Try putting a 15mm spacer between the screen and its mounting bracket. You will need 4 X 15mm spacers and 4 new bolts 15mm longer than they are now.

This made a big difference to the wind buffeting/ noise on my a Explorer. Worth a try for £5.

I'm led to believe the Madstad screen is a good choice but it's bloody big.

Yes I've seen that it's really good ......but you've also got to like the look as well and it doesn't really do it for me;)

Hi Yorkie, have you ever tried taking the screen fully off the bike and going for a ride? It's loads quieter !!!!!

As it happens I had thought of that as I watched a YouTube video where a guy had put a really small black screen on his tiger which just about covered the clocks so that's another option but I'm hoping that I can sort a screen out that will offer some protection from the wet stuff and the MRA vario or the large Puig screen are favourites at the moment and luckily I live very near Pyramid plastics who sell the puig so I may at least be able to have a look to see how it looks against the bike, I'm in no rush I'll just have to make sure that I never forget my earplugs :).... thanks a lot for your input

Noise/buffeting seems to be a problem with most bikes with a screen.
After riding nakeds for the last few years I found the noise from the screen on my GS a bit unsettling, getting used to it now though.
You'd think with modern technology they'd be able to make a quiet screen

Got a Madstad screen on my 800 xc, ride at 70 mph with visor up no problems.

Yes it's pig ugly, but with being to old to be a poser who gives a fook. That's an age thing for you :p

Going to try that. The wind buffeting with the standard screen is really annoying.

I watched a video where a guy put a really small power bronze screen on that just basically covered the clocks so that could be an option, I was out today and mine has the adjustable Triumph screen (it adjusts the volume from loud to too bloody loud) I still fancy one of the MRA screens but just not too sure which one yet :)

I tried putting spacers under the screen today but can't say it made any noticeable difference so it's looking like the MRA touring screen is the next thing to try and by all accounts they're pretty decent......fingers crossed.

that's a shame. Having gone out with an open face helmet on yesterday, I found that if I tried ducking down 4 or 5 inches that lost the wind noise considerably so I am going to have a look to see if there is an attachment you can put at the top of the screen, kinda like a spoiler I suppose. It's a pricey way of experimenting tho'. so many conflicting reports!!
