Thruxton TTS Supercharger kit

It's about £3600 isn't it? That seems an absolute bargain to me !!!! Something like starting off with 100bhp and transforming into 236bhp !!!!!

 

Don't forget to add another large lump sum for beefing up the engine components and clutch to take the power.....

Was looking and contemplating this kit a few weeks ago, will be watching this thread now, be interested in knowing what extra costs on top of the kit, if cams, remap etc req?

I wish....no lottery winner here, I've had a meeting at the cross-roads and sold my soul to get this supercharger.

That looks pretty awesome to me. I sold my soul to get the R and it is taking me another 4 years and 8 months to get it back again. But, in 2021 I'm sure I'd be prepared to sell it all over again and at that point it might be just the right time to give the R a lift,.....

 

Unless, of course, those 6 numbers come home. In that case I'd order it the very next day.

 

Stunning commitment to power extraction Midas! Can't wait to hear more news on the installation and how it rides. So tempted to do the same this summer.....

 

OK another update.....TTS have been dragging their feet with this.
Initially I let TTS have the bike so they could use it to have some header pipes made up by Scorpion Exhausts for the Supercharger kit they were doing which is a story in itself.
While it was there they offered to fit the kit for free as they needed a bike to do a tune on for the Power Commander to send out with the kit, so I reluctantly agreed as a big part of this for me was fitting the supercharger myself. But having said that I would have had to take the bike and have it mapped so it seemed the best thing for both TTS and me to let them fit it and map the bike down there...
On the two bikes they did for Triumph last year Triumph let them have access to the ECU to do the mapping but they would not give them the access to do it for the Supercharger kits so they have to use a PC-V.
So last week took a drive down there unannounced to see what was going on, the bike was sitting on the dyno with the supercharger installed and had been partially dynoed but he had come across a problem with the air pressure sensor triggering a fault code due to the difference in manifold air pressure produced by supercharger. To be honest I was a little pissed off as I had expected any issues like this would have been ironed out on the two bikes they did for Triumph...but their ya go!
While I was there he asked me if they could take the bike to the motorcycle show in London this weekend, I agreed to this as long as it was back with me at the end of next week...
So as it stands I am expecting the bike delivered back to me by Thursday evening of next week (23rd Feb)

Well it looks like a funky piece of kit. You're on the cutting edge of development there and the issue is a sensor, surely they can sort that out.

Did you get a free ticket for the show? It'd be kind of cool to see your own bike on display.
