    Always look forward to mid-March when the weekly shopping drudge to Aldi is brightened by their 'Biker Specials' week.
    My biking jacket, trousers, boots, thermal undies, socks and neck wear are all Aldi and (imo) are all quality, have lasted the course, are fit for purpose, and, most importantly, cheap (I draw a line at their helmets though ;-) ).
    Anyone else used their stuff?

  2. Not clothing but;

    Their smart charger which is very good and only £14. My other smart charger is a top end of the range CTEK MXS 5 which is £80 in Halfrauds and to be honest the Aldi one has a couple of advantages. The Aldi one has a digital display which I like and it will charge batteries from a much lower voltage that the CTEK just ignores and refuses to charge. It also has a bike battery mode which is 12v not 6v.

    The draw back is that the Aldi one just has crocodile clips with no quick release for a battery harness like CTEK or Optimate. However, I've just ordered some Tamiya type connectors from eBay for pence (no soldering to fit) which are the very same ones used on optimates. I also ordered 2 Optimate quick-release battery harnesses at £5 each and I will be able to plug in to either bike or plug the crocodile clips back in exactly as per an Optimate. It is well worth doing and I will probably buy another one when they next come up.

    I also have had an Aldi compressor for about 4 years now which is one of the handiest things I've bought for the garage, I use it all the time.

    Bought a few items from ALDI, one of the best buys was for a car stereo/cd player.
    I bought it for my sports rib, the marine radio that was buggered was going to be £350 12 month warranty.
    Aldi special £25 two year warranty, brilliant no brainer.

    Bought various thermals from Aldi and Lidl and they've been good. Also bought some biking boots from Aldi two years ago and still not worn them yet. All I can say is that they are wearing very well.

    I have a pair of the bike boots, they are pretty good for the money, also have a pair of the biking jeans,again they are ok but not the best,hey for 35 quid what do you want?? I have always found their electrical stuff for the home to be pretty good too, so far had toaster,kettle, tv, pc, sandwich maker, camera to name a few and all have been more than adequate for my requirements

    Second or third week in March has always been the week in the past, so hopefully the same this year.
    I'm hoping for some biking jeans in my size this time :)

    The jeans are ok but they are a bit on the baggy side,well last years were. You get the knee armour but not the hip armour, though the pockets are there to fit some, which I have .

    I got a free pair of oxford spartan jeans for subscribing to mcn a few weeks ago and they fit much better.

    Thermal base layers are good and their socks have lasted well. Not tried anything else but will have a look when the time comes.

    That's good - she'll be able to put stuff aside for you when it comes in ;) Some of the more common sizes etc. go pretty quick.
