I was 'browsing' for a new leather jacket yesterday afternoon at 3pm, as you do!
(......'what you looking for now'?.............'nothing darling'!)....
....and I happened upon Total Triumph in Taunton. They seem to be having a post Christmas clear out and I found (and ordered.....please don't tell her)....the Triumph Patrol jacket, normal price £300, to you sir, with free next day delivery, £150!....and the postie has just woke us up at 7:30am to hand it over......brilliant service.....

Removable Quilted liner, got elbow/shoulder armour and looks a good bit of kit.....result....just got to make a bit more room in the 'riding clothes' wardrobe now!.......

    Check them out at www.totaltriumph.co.uk

    Cheers,

    Hi littleade,

....as you say, no chance at that time of the day slipping that past her!.....by lunch time an amical compromise as been reached, my beautiful Fieldsheer Barbour style Jacket BUT which is made from fantastic heavy weight leather will be Ebayed off to a new owner.....boo hoo!..... I absolutely love that jacket but in reality, over the years we have spent together, intimately enjoying each other's company, I have 'grown' whereas the jacket has remained the same size! and it is now uncomfortable to wear for any length of time.

So, I'll be posting it on to EBay this afternoon, whoever buys it will not be disappointed.

    Cheers

    Hi TEZ 217,

I phoned Total Triumph to discuss sizes before purchase.....I am very broad across the shoulders and chest....that's one of the things that shooting heavy weight Medieval long bows does to you, the other is the joint and muscle pain....but hey!....what we archers have to suffer for our art darlings!.....

...I asked how big the XL was made for and they said a 48 inch chest and they agreed that if it was too small they'd accept it back. Anyway, even with the removable quilted liner in it is a great fit for me.

So 'big boy', without the liner in I reckon its at least a 49 to 50 inch chest and even better, the arms are long enough to cope with my simian length arms!.....so all round a great result for me....is that still too small for you?

    Cheers,

Yep! working from home is the best way to sneak things in without the other half spotting them.

Or better still, buy a Triumph so you can wear them.

Another archer in the fold! Although I'm more into recurve and just got a flatbow. :D but still a 50" chest

I was lucky enough to pick a triumph leather up at the first Scottish bike show I went to; walked straight into the show, straight onto triumph stand and brawled for a jacket, not surprisingly because they were knocking them out for £50:D took me five years to get the bike to match the jacket tho:)

Was tempted by your link, but my sensible head won, for once. :(:D

    Hi MrOrange,

.....the only way to get rid of temptation?.......give in to it!......that was a great result on your 50 quid jacket.....but you've forgotten to factor in the show entrance fee......so that probably makes in an excessive 65 quid or so!.....LOL......

I'd noticed on another thread you were into archery, never tried anything other than traditional longbow.....but it does make it awkward tying a 6ft 6 'stick' onto a bike!.....but I have seen guys turn up at the club on bikes with attaché cases strapped on the back with their 'Man from Uncle' bows in them.....then they bolt it all together and ping off a few!.....very handy........anyway good to say hello and good shooting, I'm just out to loose a quiver or two now myself.

    Cheers,
