Funny you should mention about him being a boxer,if you google his interview with parky in the early 70s he was asked if he used to be a boxer and i don't know if it was because he didn't like parky but he woudn't admit to it.i don't think he was too impressed with parkys interviewing style
During my TL days.....I was gunning through Neasden (London) listening to hardcore Mission Impossible soundtrack (don't laugh). Anyway it was summer and I had the bike properly cranked around this big round about ONLY to come into a collision with a lady driving a MPV. She failed to stop at the give way n I had nowhere else to go. Crash Boom Bang. Bikes was twisted, Ankle twisted n me lying there on the road in agony with Mission Impossible music blaring into my ears. No matter what I did pulling the cord, I couldn't turn the damn music off for about a minute or so. It felt like hours though. I still ride with music on but toned down a lot
Rodger Waters had an album, The Pros and Cons Of Hitchhiking, (hh realy spell check, huh ) theres a bit where a huge artic. goes from one ear to the other in the headphones. Im listening to this and walking down the main street in Aberdeen , when just as I step off the pavement on to the road this part of the song plays. I thought I was dead.
Yeah, there are loads of great versions of this song, difficult to pick a favourite the Canned heat one is good like this one aswell

Saw this quartet in central Manchester yesterday and it made me think what could be achieved by some of the members on here. Maybe dust off your brooms and bring them to Keilder ?
