You have to drain the oil on these to change the front sprocket , i remember from the one that's on it now.
Looking good Wayne - glad I don't have the airbox job to do again after the Trident! Not sure blue would look right - probably best to match it up with the other casings. Good to know that Penelope will be in fine shape in good time for the GMU as opposed to last year!
Just been out for a little bimble. Needed to get a new ink cartridge for my printer so a perfectly justifiable 100km round trip !!
Oh boy, been an expensive week. I have had a gradual leak on my radiator, finally located the precise location where it was coming from, but only because it had got a lot worse and was actually spraying out.... Had my MOT booked for last week, only for both oil seals on the front suspension to go, so oil pouring out. New original radiator fitted myself and fresh coolant. New fork seals done by Triumph (1 hr charge plus parts) I had removed the forks so they were off the bike. All in all comes to £600 quid ish, which considering I do all servicing myself this was the only money spent on the Speed triple for a long time. Now gotta get new front brake pads and tyres to replace in about 2,000 miles. Full clean up of the front calipers as the gunk is starting to solidify and not come off with cleaner and a brush, so a dremel and scrapy tool will be needed. Still chugging along on my 60 mile a day commmute.
bottled out!! Was going down to gosport to see my dad but it was hissing it down so went by car. I know I'm a lightweight but I didnt fancy leaving trhe bike for 3 days unwashed and having a 2 hour clean up later. I shall do my penance, next time Ii ride to Loomies I pass a BMW shop, I shall stop and look on admiringly
Went out for a run today after low temps and high winds, great run and even have proof. I did leave the shed.
Aye, I expect to go over 40,000 by the weekend New oil, filter, brake pads and tyres to order. She is an expensive mistress
At least I get to ride her twice a day...plus she has the most brightest headlights - size H4 bulbs too
Took my rather dirty bike to Craig from Allyearbiker for a spa session and ACF50 coating. Top lad and even better job. Just a shame it looked horrific after riding 30 mins home.
