The gloves were so poor I tried them on their own at home in the garage, and I couldn't tell whether they were actually doing anything at all. That can't be right, surely?
I must admit that I was slightly underwhelmed when I first tried them - they just don't seem to heat up like the jacket, which you can feel within a few minutes. However, they do definitely work (I've used them about a dozen times now) - your hands don't get any warmer but they don't get cold either. Would prefer that they did heat up more but I'm happy with not having cold hands!
I use the RST heated gloves with silk inner gloves. They seemed to do the job. It's only battery operated. So if you need for the whole day then you are in trouble unless you carry multiple batteries. Each charge would last around 150 minutes at hight temperature setting.
On the subject of heated gloves do they not think that big guys need em too. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I take a 4 xl in most and sometimes if lucky a 3xl in gloves , nobody seems to make them for me, 2xl is usually the biggest
Naaaaa sorry theyre only 2xl, babies hands, lol. It is so hard to even get 4xl in normal winter gloves unless you wanna spend fortunes, even then it aint easy. Went to J and S recently, they had 1 pair but they were like going out gloves, no armour at all. I have measured so many times and have 3xl Buffalo at the minute but had to soak them in warm water to try to loosen em a bit. bought on ebay. should have known better
just out of curiosity do you have big feet too? normally big hands big feet..at least i think that's what they say
Lol Well I dont think they are so bad,@ size 11. Please no questions about the other bit, no it aint true.
Freezing fingers on our last few ride outs left me miserable the last dozen miles despite silk liners. So this afternoon I decided to go to BikeStop in Stevenage to look at heated ones. I took the long scenic route towards Letchworth and Hitchin, and finding my fingers were quite warm enough with a new pair of Frank Thomas Anti-freeze inners in place of usual the silk ones I called off the shopping and took another back-roads route back home. Feck me, once the sun went down my fingers nearly dropped off with the cold. BikeStop tomorrow.
DD, I'm surprised the bike has not sold yet. I've seen it advertised here and on ebay and Gumtree. If it's not selling after this length of time then it must be the price. Price it right and will sell...... It's a striking looking bike with the green paint flashed over the black, I like it.
Mick there was enough to salt a motorway. I`ll save you some next time at this rate I will have shares in FS365.
I have just taken off one of the Engine covers off penelope today and one of the bolts was solid .I near on had to stand on it with a Bar to get it out. I was worried it was going to snap. It was only the fact they are Stainless that saved that from happening. If the stainless bolt had snapped I would have been in trouble.you can see the shape of the bolt when I finally got it out. Luckly I have a new polished cover. That's why I was taking it off. It was some job. Probably the first time off in 20 years .it seems to be stuck in the metal gromit thingy I think that's the technical term
With her new case ( well... second hand off flea bay ) , Posh. I know she's posh because she's high maintenance
