What sort of tyres have you got on Rich ?
They look like the treads been cut with a Dremel!

Saw them first in J&S in Finedon, but silver only, and both black and silver are on their website for about £25 iirc. The ones I bought were on ebay and very similar to ones I have on my 2010 bike. The packaging wasn't pristine for merchandising purposes, but who cares. btw, I have the clamp pointing up, but it looks better pointing forward as on my older bike, so I will change it. Still lots available at £19.99, black or silver, which is cheapest I found. When fitting I used the clamp rather than bolting in through the bar end weight cuz the supplied bolts are too large. Fully tighten the bottom allen bolt before the top one, otherwise the top one won't tighten.

With bars that wide - now the mirrors have added an extra foot - I'd be worried about take-off speeds Rich...

You just lower V1 slightly (as on a wet runway) and stick to a firm and steady rotation and then you should be just fine!

The pattern is a copy of the old Pirelli Phantoms from many years ago.
    I had a set on a GS1000 I had way back when :)

Yes, Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp. Apparently 'paying tribute' to the 1977 Bonnie which first used Pirelli Sportscomp rubber.

It's basically a GS with GSX bodywork, the first big bike I had.
The previous owner had converted it.
I went from a Super Dream to that :D

The blue GS brings back the memories.
My mate bought a GS 1000 in the lates 70s and still races it today as a classic.
Biggest bike I had ever seen until another mate got a Kawasaki 1300

I am so tempted to get one. I will have to book a test ride when the weather is a bit better. :D
