Which Arrow Map? There are 2 - one for slip on twin high mount cans and one for full exhaust, no Cat, low mount solo can. Need to consider if running with or without baffle installed. Secondary air system is not a concern with what you are researching.
I am running a 2016 S model with a low mount SC Project can and no baffle. No mapping required, runs fantastic. Hope this helps. Lots of threads here on this very question and a very helpful crew of members willing to share experiences.

Hi, have 2 hi level leo vince evo carbon cans which slip on to standard Y pipe. Was planning to run arrow map that goes with twin hi level as cans similar in size etc.
    Will prob run without baffles.?
Didnt know if the remap on ecu did any adjustment for SAI.? Had mock up fitment the other day sounded like getting popping back on deceleration.

The main component on the ECU map is for the fuelling. The Sai system works on a suction basis with a solenoid controlled by the ECU. It only operates between 0% and 6% of throttle opening and is completely separate from the fuelling operations.

If you want to remove the SAI to reduce/remove the popping on over-run, the only element that needs to change on the map is to un-tick the AI, then completely remove it along with the solenoid.

I have a 16 ST R with a single low Leo Vince can with drilled baffles and no other mods, runs better than it did with std cans :)

    Hi all,

I test rode the 2016 Speed Triple R today and you will be pleased to hear that I have decided to buy one. However, I think the stock pipe are ugly and they have to go. And so I have started to compile a spreadsheet that list all the pipes for the 2016 model - please see the .pdf attached. I'd have liked to have uploaded the spreadsheet with the links but the forum software understandably doesn't allow it. Anyway the point of the post is to ask you all what pipes I have missed. Please remember I am interested in pipes that the manufactures say is suitable for the 2016 model.

    Thanks,

    Graham

Hi Darkman, what do you mean drilled baffels, 'no other mods' ? do you mean no remap?

Not too concerned about popping back
On overrun ,does'nt sound that excessive out on the road. Dont think baffles will be going in.

The exhaust was too loud without the baffles so i drilled some holes in the end plate to tune the sound and help with less back pressure as it was to quiet with the standard baffle. Have not bothered with remap as the bike feels just fine as is.

This looks a good deal, and has the new etched logo

Sorry for all the questions, how many holes did you drill and how big, I like a nice little pop and rumble. But don't like it to loud, so like yourself would probably leave baffle in.

Yes it's a good deal for a new can but the secondhand Titanium can is a lot lighter but no big deal if you are happy with the stainless can. I would try the can with and without the baffle first and if it's to quiet with baffle drill holes then, if you look at the baffle plate that fits in the end of the can it's a oval plate with a round exhaust pipe going through it. All i did was to start with one 8mm hole above and ended up with 2 8mm holes to get the sound i wanted, you could start with one in the center top at say 5mm and then add another two either side.

Do you need to inform your insurance if you change the exhaust?

I didn't bother last year as it was already into my insurance but will do this year.

I am sorry to have to ask this - why must you notify your insurance company? Is it a requirement over there?

We have to declare any modifications to the standard factory bike so in the event of theft or accident you could have like for like replaced and also they ask if it has been modified in any way so if you said no it could invalidate your insurance.
