Everything is good TEZ thankfully, was out on Friday morning in dense fog and just lost the front wheel into the kerb, guess I hit some black ice combined with an already wet and slippery main road. The wheel smacked into the kerb and I shit myself but thank goodness after my local mechanic checked the wheel aqlignment and forks the T100 was given a clean bill of health, :)

Out again today for an hour around town. Without ice or a greasy road for the first time, which was a relief.

    Positives:
    - love the appearance. It's the bright yellow and silver and it gets a lot of attention at a standstill. I parked at a cash point this afternoon and when I returned a man in his early 80s was admiring it wistfully and reminiscing on his younger days. A very interesting conversation with a complete stranger, fantastic.

    - it's very easy to ride.
This is my first bike and I took a long time reading and watching bike reviews before I took the plunge. I originally thought I wanted an adventure bike - of course - but the sensible part of me prevailed and I started looking for something "suitable for a new rider", whatever that means. Well there are lighter bikes out there, the Tracer for example, but the reviews I read and watched of the Street Twin convinced me that it was low, light(ish) bike and with an even engine response. I switched to a Street Cup on the spur of the moment because it is a little taller than the Twin, because it isn't black (which was the only colour Twin currently available), and because it already had bar end mirrors.

I was concerned about the dropped bars, never having ridden a bike with them before, but I've quickly got used to them. The seat height is perfect for me - I'm 5'11" - the engine is really forgiving but with plenty of grunt up to the legal limit and the torque-assist clutch super light. All-in-all it's very non-threatening and enjoyable.

    Negatives:

The main thing that is annoying me is the bleedin alarm tbh. And how difficult it is to learn how to fill the tank! And the lack of any storage capacity at all.

Yeah, you and Paul alike ,,, that's why I end up with a tail bag strapped to my bike ,,, 'Hey Rich, I need new gloves/helmet/packet of fags, can you bring your tail bag?' and muggins is too slow to say f"kk off.
