Well like a pillock I took notice of the weather forecast saying heavy rain and sleet all day.
Set off in my car, delayed by council road works on every conceivable route to join the M62 and then queued for over an hour on the M62 to travel 16 miles all in bright sunshine with my shades on.

Bike from now on until there is ice/snow on the ground.

After seeing the gritting lorry last night (luckily i was in the car), I acf50`d the Tiger this morning....I brought a compressor this year especially for the job but as it was bloody freezing outside this morning I done it the usual way with a 1/2 brush a acf50 soaked cloth & the spray bottle....I`ll try the compressor out one day....just not today.
Went up High Beach (Epping) today on my Tiger, looked almost new with the acf50 shine on her too. Fairly busy for a Saturday but i`m guessing that everyone`s seen the incoming weather in the South & opted for today instead of tomorrow.
Also tried out my new wireless Bluetooth heated inner boot soles.....it`s early days yet so cant tell if they have been a good buy or not.

Interested to hear more on the Bluetooth heated innerboot soles as my feet were freezing the other day on my long trip up to Newark. Where did you get them from and how much were they?

Got them from a company called Primrose via Amazon & they were £60!!! but like you I suffer from cold feet in the winter-time.
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Warmawear-Waterproof-Rechargeable-Bluetooth-Insoles/dp/B016DRTU2M

There are different versions available, these are from a company called Warmawear are as I said Bluetooth & like hive heating you control them from an app on your phone.
They will last about or so they say 2 hours on 100% power 3-4 on 50%.... They were a bit bulky but I took the liner/sole out of my motorcycle boots (Alpinestars) & they fitted fine. You can cut them to size much like ordinary inner soles that you buy. I didn`t need to because if I want to send em back, not sure how I`ll stand in regards to a refund if I`ve cut em about.

Well....I can now answer my own thread here....after charging them up again after using them today, one of them won't heat up as it's developed a fault....So back to your question....Are they any good?....NO!

Try silk inner socks and good quality insulated winter boots.
I recently tried some Alpinestar New land boots and they offered fantastic protection against the cold.
    Price ~ £170 ish

Managed a quick hour out yesterday.
Kept to the main roads to avoid the slippery leaves on the back roads.
My feet were the only cold bit.

Thanks for your feedback Thruccyboy. Think the idea of Bluetooth heated inner soles is brilliant, but having read all the reviews (as like your experience), they don't seem very reliable. Shame really as they seem a great idea. Maybe it's just early days and they will eventually improve and be a viable solution for next year's winter riding.

Managed a 2 and half hour ride on my Thruxton R yesterday afternoon. Flippen cold though. Didn't see too many other bikes out and looks like the first of many overnight frosts are arriving from tomorrow night. Riding opportunities definitely diminishing now. What are we all going to do? Feeling a little depressed just thinking about it. :-( Roll on the spring.

Hi Ron, it's -3°C with right now and that feels well cold enough. At least it's remaining dry, for this week at least.

Ventured into wales sunday , wish i hadn't bothered shitty roads and some snow on the hills in between Crossgates and Newtown . actually think we may have done a green lane at one point can't be 100% sure it was a tarmac road. that was my last ride of 2016 i can happily confirm IMG-20161127-WA0000.jpeg
