Hi all! Newbie to the forums here, though got my Triumph America just over a year ago (and LOVING her - Best bike I've ever ridden by far). I'm Vincenzo, living up near Edinburgh and for those in a similar area there are some amazing rides around the Forth Valley you can do if you haven't already done so! Beautiful in the summer. Have to say a massive thanks to this forum already: Not only pointed me in the right direction to get some handguards (was having trouble finding specific ones for my bike - Universal was the answer), but I was having some dire situations with my backend locking up continuously in the wet/cold (even in a straight line whilst gently breaking) and I found on this forum that several people highly recommending getting rid of the stock tyres an America comes with (begins with M - Forgot the name). I eventually swapped them with Pirelli Night Dragons (front & rear) and even driving home in the rain with the brand new tyres they were extremely more grippy. Now I've broke them in - WAHHOOOOO!!! Figured I'd mention this just on the off chance someone comes looking for help too. Cheers, Vincenzo.
Hi and welcome Vinny. Glad you found the hand guards help useful and the tyres even more so. Always someone here to help no matter what the problem, even the simple ones, we have all been there . Take care and ride safe
Hello Vinny and welcome. Glad to here the tyre change has sorted out the handling problems. There's quite a few Triumph owners up your way.
