Touring Anyone planning a big tour with their bike?

Something I have always fancied is riding the country on the coast all the way around. Would be fairly easy to organise if you did it over a couple of weeks.

 

Going to Lake Maggiore at the end of August - stunning mountain passes in the area:

 

Just keep riding that one road in the picture it looks awesome!

Quite fancy this one in Romania:

 

Coming over to the UK end of august, John O`Groats and Lands End are the two main destinations, other wise we will stop where we want.

Actually Bry, Im hoping to have a couple of days riding in/around Wales. There are several roads that I would like to ride.

The Horseshoe Pass, A542, north Wales. I seem to remember the A44 being good, plus soom parts of the A483. Been quite a few years since Ive been in Wales but I do have very good memories :biggrin:

I have a good friend who lives in Crewe, the plan at the moment, is to ride out from there.

So with a bit of luck we will have time for a beer or 2.

 

Horseshoe pass is OK but short. 483 is excellent. My best mate (and the fastest fucker I know) lives in Crewe so maybe we could do something. However, I'm going to Italy at the very end of August so we'll see.

No comments on 'fastest fucker' - I mean quick on his bike. Just sayin' in case....
