Hi all in Triumph Thruxton land. Having spent probably a combined total in hours equivalent to a full week I have decided I would like TORS mufflers..not too loud not too quiet. I have come to the conclusion that I would have found Osama Bin Ladin quicker. Does ANYONE know anything about these mufflers as in "WHERE CAN I GET THEM!!" o_O

I believe they are the same as the stock pipes in design, from what I have seen, which leads me to believe Triumph make them.

TOR stands for Triumph Off Road pipes. They are a Triumph product and are usually available on Ebay.

There are loads of options if you want to make your bike sound more "fruity" , in addition to Triumph products.

Do you plan to make any other modifications to the engine on your bike? If the answer is yes and IF it's an EFi Thrucky then it would make sense to re-map your bike once you've done all your mods, so you can optimise the fuelling.

Hey Thanks for that..Searched EBAY and all I could find was "Shorty's of one make or another, Predators, Arrows, none of which I like. I still think the stocks are the best looking for the bike. Yeah if I changed the pipes I would do whatever is necessary to make them them the most efficient for the bike....or the bike most efficient for them. I've seen bafflectomys but I am to bikes technically what an accountant would be to teaching ballet....he knows a few moves, but it wouldn't be pretty. So do you know if Triumph actually make TORS. I guess I should just ask the Youtube posters where they got them.

TOR's are a Triumph product - if you are asking if someone else makes them for Triumph then I would say almost certainly, but I don't know who.

However over the last few years Triumph seemed to have formed an 'alliance' with Arrows to supply aftermarket more fruity sounding exhausts to their bikes.

Just contact your local dealer, a couple of days and you should have them, I had a little off earlier this year and scratched one, new one fitted in less that 7 days.

I like the TORS as they look the same as standard, sound just right for me and the 'popping' on the over run is neat too.

At the end of the day it's all personal choice.

    Hi Teejay,

Went to my local dealer and they knew nothing. Where did you get your TORS?

Which Thruxton are you referring to? Is it the 1200/1200R? If so, there is no TOR exhaust for this model yet, only different looking equivalents of the stock one.
I wish this forum had the bike owned associated with each user details...

You can achieve that, if everyone were to put their bike details in their siggy - see mine.

Yes Capt, but it doesn't give the year - and that might be pertinent when someone is posing a question. Let's face it, it's not that hard and you only need to do it once.:rolleyes:
