    Hi guys

The VIN number on my Trident ends in 1946.

Can someone tell me if that's the 1946th Trident or the 1946th Triumph to leave Hinckley? if it's the latter then that makes it a very early Triumph :)

    Thanks in advance

Mine was from 1st batch of trident vin 1098 received early Sept 91. At that time they made about 100 bikes a week so I would say yours was made late 91

    Hi,

Yes spoke to the local dealer today and they confirmed late 1991 :)

Nice to have such an early bike

Had a look at mine today - I think it was something along the lines of 021165 ('95 Trident). Not guaranteeing the level of accuracy as it was over 4 hours since I looked, and I've had me tea in between which has no doubt put me off a bit!

Ah, goes to show that they didn't make much a week in that case.

Remember it was a small scale operation and was limited by the amount of engines that could be manufactured on the cnc machines also amount of cranks that could be plasma nitride hardened.
