Looking at up grading and found 2 Triples not far away, I like the Black one.

Can any one separate them? Opinions please.

My personal opinion is that I'd be dubious about a bike being resprayed when it's only a year old?
There may be a genuine reason, but if it was my money I'd be tempted look elsewhere.

Having said that, if they're both close by, go look at both, talk to the owners and then make a decision....

Advantage for buying this time of year is you should be able to haggle a bit more than usual on the price..but as your a fellow Scot i guess that goes without saying
Ps The red one is nice but Black is nicer and faster! ;)

And I thought red was always faster, look at all those Ducati's from the 70's and 80's, when did black become the new faster red. LOL.

Red USED to be faster. Now it's yellow. Yellow is the fastestest ever in the world ever. And it handles better and it makes you sexier and the laydees love you if you have a yellow one. Everyone knows that...so ner. ;)

Red ones add expired, he might readvertise gives me time to consider my options the red is realy nice and for a little more, less miles, the black one seems to have a dealer stamp for every 500 miles nice prices to.

Hay Dougie how tall are you and are you comfy?

I only have to issues with mine paint bubbles and sore ar2e after 90 minutes. so if I recover seat and add foam and coat tank with this

    http://www.caswellplating.com/epoxy...-sealer-motorcycle-kit-up-to-10-gal-cans.html

certainly save me money, and I wont get 1/2 what I spent on the 955i and - it is hard to imagine a bike as good, any one ridden both? Sprint and Triple.

6ft ish 16 stone ish when i was first thinking about the speed triple i had heard that the suspension was really hard and the seat wasn't comfy but when i had a test ride (from Shirlaws) i found it really comfy, the suspension is a bit on the firm side but thats what makes it handle so well, mind you when I'm on twisties i tend to slide my backside slightly from side to side when cornering so that probably helps to avoid the sore bum syndrome, saying that when i was on the Autobahn for 4hrs the only thing i found a bit sore was the back of my neck but that was probably due to prolonged fast speeds. have you had a test ride of one yet?

Been through most of the Sprints and now got the 1050 Speed Triple (94R), the S3 is way way way more fun :D, perfect handling (IMO) and more comfortable than you'd imagine, seems to balance weight just right between bum, wrists and feet. If you want to go touring there are a few pannier systems or tail pack available.
BUT.... I wouldn't consider two up riding for more than 10 minutes. So if you need pillion riding I'd go for the 1050SprintST as best handling of the Sprints and still quite sporty (but a bit heavy) when solo. Still got a soft spot for the old 900 Sprint, classic lines and supremely comfortable.... but handled like a barge. Also had a 955SprintST...between the two in capability, and the least fondly remembered by me (no offence JTD ;)) - I just think Triumph made a significant step in all areas with the 1050 (engine, handling, design/build quality) .

I'd choose the black one..... four reasons.
    1. Its black
    2. The chain on the red one looks a bit dry or rusty....could imply poor attention to maintenance.
    3. Colour is not original...you gotta wonder why
    4. The bike has been wet before it was photographed. This can make it look better in the picture.....wonder what it looks like dry?

I'm not saying the last three reasons are necessarily indicating problems, but the doubt is enough to put me off. There are plenty of other bikes out there.....and as the weather in the UK is crap now, you have plenty of time to find one
