When changing a front tire, the motorcycle shop did a job on my dust covers with their tire jig. The retainer clip was broken off and the dust covers (right side) 100_3841.JPG smashed in. I assume I will have to replace the clip, both dust covers and the bearings right side, but would the left side grease cover and bearings also be damaged. The axle is very hard to turn. After removing the retaining bolts left side, which direction does the axle tap out? To the right or left?

Found the answer on line. Axle taps out from the right side to the left after removing spindle nuts and this will also drive out the left side bearing.

TY, Found on line. Taps out right to left and will also drive out the left side baring.

When replacing the front end bearing "right" side, do both dust covers with bearing in-between and clip go on before inserting the axle through the "left" side with the left bearing and grease seal already pressed on axle?

Also the clip right side goes outside the dust cover, correct? And finally do you need the dust cover inside with sealed bearings???? Any Comments appreciated..77 Bonnie.

What a F***ing mess they have made of that!
I hope you got your tyres FOC
The pictorial looks good for assembly.
If the dust seals were in make sure you put them back, they are sometimes used as shims.
I always used to make little sketches when stripping assembles down, now I use the phone camera.
Always makes it easier for re-assembly particularly after a time lapse.
Good pair of measuring calipers are always useful to check old parts against new.
