There's nothing wrong with the standard silver wheels ( look perfect on the black and red bikes ) it's just with adding the black engine casings, heel plates, carb thingy's, mirrors and levers etc thought the black wheels would finish it off, now I don't know where to stop

    Hi wag
Is that the standard tall screen and love the silver addition, where did you find that?

Bought this just a week ago, second hand, private owner, 540 miles on the clock, just had it's 500 mile service, lots of add ons fitted but I got it put back to standard with the exception of the seat hump cover, I rather liked that.....with Christmas coming I've dropped a few hints to Mrs. dickydido about the factory heated grips (they are so neat....but.....sooooooo expensive) and a fly screen, fingers crossed I've accumalated enough brownie points

Nice lueglover, but, without trying to sound too negative, the plate being so far under the seat will be a magnet for getting pulled over. It will be caked with road muc within seconds so will be unreadable and as there is nothing sticking out beyond your seat means your back will get covered by road muck flung up by the rear tyre. My plate sticks out and I still get cr*p all up my back.

Well I am trying to be positive about this. Firstly I checked the requirements about number plate positioning and it meets most of them and the main one that it is questionable is somewhat debatable. It doesn't get too mucky and I generally wash the bike after every use so I am not troubled by the dirt build up. It is a long way from the wheel, it looks worse than it is but it is line with the original panel and only about 1cm out from it so that will be ok. I haven't been covered with rubbish yet, although the seat hump has.

I saw a group of three young chaps on R1's at the Ace Cafe in September with tail-tidies and small number plates hidden completely from view. They had been using them for over a year and had no issues. I for one have been riding in London for 30+ years and haven't been pulled over more that once in that time. I think the cops are too stretched and they rely on technology to do their jobs. So I know it looks questionable but it is line with legal requirements for vision and would definitely be visible from a police camera. I spend my life abiding laws and pleasing other so sometimes I think, what the hell, lets have some fun.

Naturally if I get a tug and more points I will come back on here with my tail between my legs and tell you all.

Ideal, while they are looking at you, they won't be looking at me with my black and silver plate. Where did you get your rear light from?
