    Marquez 2016 World Champion! :)

Fantastic result in Japan to take the world championship with 3 rounds to go and this on a bike that everyone agrees has been very difficult to ride for the last 2 years ..If Honda can improve the bike for next year I can’t see anyone catching him..unless Maverick gels with the Yamaha quickly and Lorenzo can get to grips with the Ducati (fingers crossed for both riders)

He can now take his sensible head off and put his win it at all costs head back on for the last 3 races! :D:D:D:D:D

Ever since he won the 125 title in 2010 you could see he was something special, I never thought I would see another rider as exciting as Kevin Schwantz but this kid is a phenomenon  ,the numbers of records he has broken is unbelievable and he can do things on a bike other riders can only dream about:eek::confused::eek: and he’s still only 23 o_O

Here’s just a few of his records ..you would need several pages to list them all!

Youngest rider to win the world championship in the premier class

Youngest rider to win back to back championships in premier class

Most wins in a single season (13)

Youngest pole position in premier class

Youngest to win 5 world championships

First rider to win intermediate and premier class titles back to back

One record he probably didn’t want to break.. Fastest Crash 209mph!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

yeah i love watching the road racing too,The Dunlops are something special,i wasn't too keen on Michael when he first started but he has matured a lot and is a lot more likeable now. Hutchy has to be my favourite road racer though.

I agree, Marquez is definitely a serious force and great to watch. It's a pity how yesterdays race unfolded though I still think he would have taken the win. Excellent racing in the opening laps.

Been a Rossi fan since his 125 days. Thought his records were there forever, no more tho. Marquez is something else, he has broken the mould and taken riding to new heights, doesnt mean I like him,he could never be as popular as Rossi but he is going to set new records......unless he has the accident that most riders end up having at some point. Rossi used to seem Mercurial but after a couple of bad drops ( and the shit Ducati time) he never really got it back again quite as he was before. I hope I am wrong but I think Marquez will one day get injured and struggle. ie Doohnan, Shwantz, Sheene. Having said that he came off at over 200 mph and didnt do much damage.

Its very possible any of the top riders could come a cropper especially if the level of competition stays so close, i was always a big Rossi fan but he only ever really had to push all the time once Stoner and Lorenzo came on the scene..hence the broken leg in Germany several years ago, saying that Rossi has said he is now riding better than he ever has, which i think he is.but because of the competition nowadays, we don't get to see any of his great celebrations when he wins now.. he just doesn't know when/if he will win now, i used to look forward to his celebratory antics. Rossi has definitely been a great asset to motogp and will be missed when he does decide to pack it in,i personally would have loved to see him go to WSB a few years ago and be the first to win a moto gp and WSB title..but there's talk of him signing for another 2 years when his contract ends in 2017..i guess he just wants to try and get that elusive 10th title and possibly beat Agostinis 122 GP race wins..he only needs another 9 wins, could be a tough task though, Marquez already has 55 wins so if he doesn't get injured it looks like he will be the one to smash that record, whether he will beat Agostinis record of 15 titles is another thing

Nicky Hayden is back in motogp this time replacing Pedrosa, i think Honda would have been better letting Jack Miller have a go at his home track with the factory bike, i'm sure he would do a better job that Nicky (maybe not as polite though )
