Afternoon all, I have been looking at the Triumph Light bar for those extra running lights and look. I have been quoted £425 fully fitted from my local dealer. I don't know about you lot but I think this is a bit excessive for effectively two extra lights? Has anyone completed the mod (send a picture) or have any ideas how I can complete this project myself.
    Thanks all in advance

Have been looking on Ebay, etc, but nothing like a solution yet. You can buy just the bar from Triumph, has a part number, think it's like £60 or something and maybe source lights from 3rd party ??? Be a lot less than £425 from Triumph, robbin gits !!

I fitted a pair of these as running lights on another bike. Just used without headlight as daytime lights, super bright and much better than headlight for short distance. Only thing I would change is that I should of fabricated a stainless steel bracket as it went rusty quickly, sold them with bike.

Apparently the Honda VT600 Shadow (1985 - 1999) and Shadow Deluxe (1988-1999) light bar will fit our bike with only minor modifications. It's part number is 01ZX1176W or just get a light bar from eBay. I haven't tried this so can't confirm it fits.

Nice one Tez, for £31 including lights that is a bargain, definitely worth trying.

I did my own using earlier model triumph dual lights from the speed triple? I think? Put 35watt hid lights in H4 pattern , got the h/lights for $100 second hand hid lights kits were $120 (two globes and ballasts in kit form) bracket was made from 8mm thick aluminium plate $70 from local fitters shop, the light bar kit direct triumph part here in Australia is like $800 odd , so I did well about 1/2 price and hid's are much brighter and use less current, less work for your alternator/regulator. See my bike pic avatar.!!!!

Any chance of a picture of the light bracket mate? I like the idea of making my own light set.

hi AussieAmerica, sorry for the delay but was too too wet the other morning so posting now. Just took photo now @ 13;30 Monday, the two bolts visible go through manufacturers holes in the bottom triple clamp bracket. DSCF2778.JPG

Thanks for the pic Captain I never thought of using aluminium plate, makes sense its an easy metal to work with. Looks like it will be cardboard template making for the next night off work to get the shape right, have you got them on a separate switch and where did you put the relay? I like how the lights sit in close to your headlight.
