New air filter fitted and a chain adjustment already for a little blat tomortow around the Dorset countryside or anywhere else if anyone is up for it???
So went for a little ride today to make sure that the new air filter was working ok (any excuse for a blat ) Bike is still running a bit rich but not quite as bad as before k&n was fitted. So got home and have downloaded tuneecu and a cable (yes from lonelec ) and going try a new map and see if that helps.
That map brought back some memories - living in Ringwood (Inn on the Furlong), Poole harbour (kept my boat there), riding in the New Forest etc etc
Local boy huh I like it here. Close to the beaches and forest. Best of both worlds oh and a few good roads too
Looking at the above map i would say it was probably fueling on the rich side as you got nearer Shaftesbury and then leaned off as you came back down and crossed the A354
Was there yesterday and thb the road surface is pretty bad, loose and rutted so makes cornering a tad tricky. Not pleasant!
I like zig zag hill on a bike especially going up, Su hates it but i always go that way on a ride and make her do it on her bike lol. I like to chase cars up it on my 185cc monkey bike as you can stuff them out of the corners.
DreadySteve, familiar road, I go on this route very often, spectacular views, mainly clear of traffic especially on a Sunday morning, we'll have to have a meet at the Airfield one Sunday for a brew.
Compton Abbas airfield is about a mile from the top of zig zag hill, details here http://www.comptonabbasairfield.co.uk/?page=restaurant Bugad is south of the Sixpenny Handley roundabout, I go there for bits for my aging BSA and as you say is worth a look.
Took my Mrs out on it for the first time since I've had this bike (November last year), she loved it! Soon after I got it I ended up in hospital, took months to build my self up again to a point where I could trust my self to take her out on it, long summer for her! Also first test with the 19t front sprocket, still pulls like a train 2 up! There will be a few more trips for us when the weather is right, but she (& me) is looking forward to next summer for sure.
Went down to see my dad in gosport, via micks burger place Then on to gunwharf quays outlet to get a coat from north face. Very impressed with free parking with chain and locker, they cost a quid though'
